All loose things seem to drift down to the sea, and so did I - Louis L'Amour
Class photo. DId you use some sort of filter? It looks almost vintage, the colours seem kind of drained.
It's taken using an app called FxCamera that includes a polaroid option that gives that lovely effect. I messed around then with the configuration. It's something I've been thinking about a lot recently, the whole photos taken by an app thing - there's lots of apps that can pretty much make anything you take look rather lovely, how much is down to the photographer, and how much is down to the app? Recently I was looking at a friend's photos and they were all taken using the Hipstimatic app for iPhone so he said he couldn't take much credit for them. I then came across this article which I found very interesting: http://lens.blogs.nytimes.com/2011/02/11/through-my-eye-not-hipstamatics/?smid=tw-nytimes I have to say I agree with him - I think even just composition alone has a huge influence on whether a not a photo is successful, never mind all the other fundamentals. If the composition's not right, the greatest app in the world won't take it from being a nice photo to an outstanding photo. What are your thoughts?
